Sessions take place on Friday lunchtimes, 12.30 to 1.30, meeting at The Athlete Service in the centre of Henley on Thames. Please see the map for meeting point. Changing facilities, showers and coffee and cake are available here on your return.
All new participants will need to complete a health form before taking part so please contact me if you would like to come along and give it a go.
The sessions take place outside in all weathers so you will get muddy and dirty and get the odd scratch or splinter. You will need running trainers and shorts/leggings and a tee shirt. A long sleeved top or lightweight jacket might be an idea to keep you warm until you warm up.
I would advise against wearing your newest kit as it will get muddy! If you do have trail running shoes, these are by far the best footwear (as they are more flexible, have better grip and provide a lower centre of gravity) but don’t worry if you don’t have any. Normal running shoes will be fine.
Please bring gloves if you want to keep your hands clean and also a small water bottle for after the session. Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions and if it is raining, a change of clothes, or a bin bag to protect your car seat on the drive home is recommended!
I carry a water-proof bag and can look after (small) valuables such as phones/car keys.
The sessions cost £8 on a pay as you go basis or, if you enjoy it, you can buy a six-session loyalty card for £40. There is no need to book or commit to sessions, just turn up on time and get involved. We simply assume that if people are not there by 12.30 they are not coming!
